There is an unvieling of a statue to Tom Dresser VC  tommorow at Middlesbrough with a memorial pavement at its foot. Just one problem, the pavement is engraved with " Prince of Wales`s Regiment".

Who didnt check and double check their research.

Tom Dresser

One would have thought the Green Howard's museum would have known which regiment he was in

Ray

I dont think they are involved. I believe it is a relative who is a director or some such position at PD Ports who started the Tom Dresser VC Fund.

Should have spent a few more bob on research

Utter cockwombles (like to see that get past Invision!). How on earth was such a schoolboy error made? I sincerely hope it will be changed, toot sweet.

Pedantically, it would be the Green Howards' museum, I'd have thought.
