Oher than your own unique member name, you can use a number of features to make your appearance disttinctive.
Signature.
That is text that appears at the foot of each post you make. You can add or change this as often as you choose. The signature appears against every post you have made. When you change your signature, the old one disappears. Text in signatures is subject to the same rules as posts made in the forum.
Avatar
A small graphic that appears below your member name, to the left of each post you make.
Both signature and avatar settings appear in My Controls.
Member "rank"
A military-style ranking appears against your name and is driven solely on the number of posts you have made since joining. It has no significance at all regarding your user privileges. Posts made in off-topic asreas do not add to your total. You cannot re-set or turn the ranking on or off.
