When you want to reply and include a quote, don't click on the Add Reply button, click on the Quote button.
You are then presented with an input screen that has two input boxes. The top one is the normal blank box where you type your message. The lower one includes a complete transcript of the message you are quoting from.
If you don't want to quote the whole thing, just delete bits out, in the lower box of course.
Then you can preview and post as usual.
