  CT

  Thanks Mate.
Post 72 of the Aussies moving over the duckboards at Ypres 1917 and post 80 of helping a wounded mate
  at Gallipoli are really good.

Your computer skills far outweigh mine.

  Thanks again.

It's not just the computer skills, there is also much artistic interpretation at work - and yes, worthy of 'classic' status I am sure.

Hello CT-Guards,

A quick question.  Is Post 77 the Sucrerie Cemetery?

(Again, as per my previous post, these are wonderful images with a fine sense of the poignant)

The only thing I would ask for is a caption stating which memorial/cemetery below the images... aside from that, (as stated before) superb work and thoughtful interpretations.

One more thing - this pic of Wiltshires advancing at Thiepval in August 1916 (have posted small) might make a poignant comparison if we take a little bit of artistic licence and put the T'val memorial on the horizon?

Have bigger pic if you want to work on it. Can PM with e-mail address for larger pic.

This one is from my private folder.  It's in memory of Sgt Mornington Tickner.  The Foreground image is Peaslake cemetery, Surrey home to Mornington- (my gr-uncle) the background is Thiepval, the portrait is Mornington, the troops represent the 17 men of Peaslake who gave their lives and never returned.

next is credited to Desmond7.....

Love the inclusion of the names  on the Mem.
Plus the undergrowth on the orgibal pic with weeds around barbed wire etc .. contrasts enomrously with the golf green look of the area around the Memorial today.
