There are a number of mentions of Hugh Aldersey  in the "The Cheshire (Earl of Chester`s ) Yeomanry" by Sir Richard Verdin if you can get hold of a copy.

Group photo of officers of Cheshire Yeomanry 1916 ( hope the names are legible ) Lt.Aldesey is on the back row 4th from the right.
