i am not from the ra or rha i am a x rac qdg serviceman ,, my local acf are useing a old bks that the ra and rha used to use , going by what i have found so far it must have been huge as the hall they had there could hold a thousand people, and was used by civvies for play and the like,,

i am trying to find out the bks name , it was at one time hq for the ra rha battalions that where in the area bridgend,,, swansea,,,,, i have found out that due to the course of amalgamtions they are now called the 104th battery and are in raglan newport , the site must have been huge but there is no recall of the camps name ,dureing ww1 i have found that rha where there , can anyone find out, or know the name of the bks that once stood there. still remaining to this day is one of the stables blocks,, it is now a indoor range for the acf , and another that is used like a drill hall but i think it was used to keep gun carriges originally, due to the door sizes and shape,

i think that a plaque or something should be in place in what remains to commemorate its past history, also i have found once that a battery that was there once was attached to the queens bays( 2nd dragoon guards)or rusty buckles,,,and pit the younger was part of them ( went on to be pm of great britian) i found refrence to this once and can not find where i had it from on the net
any help on this matter would be gladly recieved ,
i have also started this up on my regimental forum ( 1st the queens dragoon guards)
and have recieved alot of enthuseastic help , so has got people thinking

Do you have access to a reference section in your local library a Bridgend ? They often have historical annual Street Directories which show a comprehensive list of what's where and who is in occupation.
