Our registration process is in two steps.

First, you apply as a member and have to acknowledge a validation email that you are sent. (This is to ensure that you have a working email address. It filters out many automated spammers, too). Sometimes this email is directed to a spam filter by your ISP. Please check your spam folders if the email appears not to have arrived.

Second, your registration is personally approved by the Moderators. This generally catches the human spammers and keeps our Forum clean. We must have stopped thousands pornographers, viagra salesmen, bank phishers and the like by using this method.

This means there is a delay between you acknowledging the email and being able to post. The delay may only be a few minutes but sometimes longer, depending on the time of day and the availablility of the Moderators to do the checking. We apologise for this but we are sure you will understand and once you use the Forum regularly will appreciate that keeping out the undesirables is worth the wait.
