Gnr GIRVEN is a case from the In From the Cold Project. He died of wounds sustained in action. (Volunteer: Bernard Barton)

Lt HEWLETT is another case from IFCP. He died in service from meningitis and exhaustion in Victoria Hospital, Blackpool. (Volunteer: Terry Denham)

IFCP has had 76 names accepted to date. There are several others still in the pipeline. These are the cases that have been able to be submitted with extant service records or through generous donations for the purchase of DCs from a number of supporters (many of whom are IFCP volunteers as well). These are all men who died whilst still in service.

We currently have 35 active volunteers plus a few others who have helped on occasions. Several are now from sources other than GWF.

I have about 800 names awaiting death certificates. Experience indicates that about half of these could eventually turn into full cases - the rest requiring the DC for elimination purposes only (common names etc).

The IFCP volunteers get regular updates of progress and these details will be available on the IFCP website when it goes live (when my limited skills permit! However, it is underway).

An IFCP website is a great idea. I'm sure you will have countless hits and hopefully loads more volunteers and continued monetary assistance for the DCs.

At least you will only have to post updates in one place once it is up and running. Good luck with it.
