Been directed here by the MIC thread
Found this on my mans mic, he was issued ww1 pair and TFWM. 1215 RA, 955260 RFA, 78752 RFC, 401619 RAF Charles Drake, his TFWM medal is stamped 1215 RA and it is noted on his MIC as such, but under the medal columns the form is stamped in ink T.F.WAR.RFC.TFM under page 3. does this mean the TFWM should have been named to the RFC? or am i looking at the wrong thing? would he have been entitled to the TFM? if the TFM the same as the TFWM? any help greatly appreciated Regards James |

The TFWM is often recorded on the MiCs as TFM{though could be TFEM/TEM{Efficiency Medal}}If his initial service was with the Royal Artillery, then The TFWM is correctly named to that unit BUT issued; as would have been his other awards; from the RFC/RAF Medal Rolls,{as opposed to the MiC which just records the Roll references}as that was where he concluded his Service.
