ww1 Leeds Rifles Embrodiery?

Just thought I'd post some pics of an embrodiery that I recently purchased for the Leeds Rifles and wondered if anyone has an opinion as to roughly what period it dates to. Looking at it it seems to me in my humble opinion that it could date to the WW1 period but it's only a feeling so if anyone can help much appreciated.

Impossible to be sure when made but every reason to beleive its from the WW1 period since the battalion ceased to exist in 1918
from the LLT
2/7th (Leeds Rifles) Battalion
Formed at Leeds, 15 September 1914.
1 March 1915 : attached to 185th Brigade, 62nd (2nd west Riding) Division. Moved on 1 March 1915 to Matlock and on in May to Thoresby Park, going on in October 1915 to Retford, November to Newcastle, January 1916 to Salisbury Plain and June 1916 to Somerleyton near Lowestoft. In October 1916 to Bedford and finally landed at Le Havre in January 1917.
16 June 1918 : reduced to cadre strength.
Cadre returned to England and was absorbed into 18th York & Lancs on 19 June 1918.
Very nice item, I have ones to the Welsh and the Royal artillery

Thanks again for your help, it was the same as the cap I brought, I wasn't sure if it was WW1 but for the tenner they wanted for it I thought it could be a bargain.

Both battalions were, however, reformed in 1920. So it is possible to be of a later vintage.
It's a very nice thing though regardles off it's age.
What are the dimensions?

I have a similar embroidery of a Rifle Brigade badge - all the "s's" on the battle honours are back to front.
I inherited it many years ago from a neighbour whose father was in the Rifle Brigade in WW1 and who was posted missing in March 1918 and subsequently was found to be a POW. I suspect that he did the embroidery after returning to UK and convalescing. I also have his cap badge, medals, pocket watch and another pocket watch which he bought on the day War was declared in 1939 and his WW2 ARP badge and a cigarette lighter with an RB badge.

The dimensions are 15" x 13" and I am really pleased to have got it. The guy I brought it off had picked up at an auction for £5 after nobody had bid for it and he just thought it had got to be worth it and then let me have it for £10 which I thought was a real bargain.

Sorry to dig up an old thread - but I was searching for West Yorks Regt in google - and I have something almost exactly like that (see my avatar) made by my grandfather Gilbert while he recovered from wounds received in the battle for Cambrai in November 1917.
Are these fairly common? This one is very special to me, obviously.
