Any member interested in the SOUTH LANCS, LOYAL NORTH LANCS, EAST LANCS or THE MANCHESTER REGIMENT and want an image of the names on the Basra War Memorial please PM me with an email address and I will assist. A very nice lady read an article on my research in the free local paper and has let me have copies of the photos of the panels mentioned, a relative of hers took them a while ago, unfortunately no others apart from a few names under the NORTH STAFFS and a few at the beginning of the WELCH REGT all NCOs. The images are a wee bit dark but with a little manipulation on the computor the names are readable. Dont all rush at once. Regards Ralph.

That's the chap, isn't it great when you're going over old work and find that it's completely wrong.

Sorry for the mis-information previously.

Andy. Sorry only the beginning of the alphabet showing, the panel is at the bottom of the Manchesters panel and only shows L/cpl Atkinson to Gater and Pte Allmam to Bakewell. Regards Ralph.

Bill. Will try again, images must be lost in cyberspace. Ralph.

Ralph,

If your offer is still open, is "Arthur Hammersley" one of the North Staffs names you have a photo of? That is "Private 27936 A. Hammersley 7th North Staffs" KIA 25/01/1917.

Thanks,
Chris.
