I have just managed to get a picture of my Great Grandfather and I am trying to work out when it was likely to have been taken.
No.5/1105 Quarter Master Sergeant John Heaney, Connaught Rangers and his wife Mabel.
He was discharged after having claimed his discharge under Para 392 Class (xxiii) Kings Regulations 4 June 1913 at Boyle, having served 25 years and 112 days, as No.2824 Colour Sergeant John Heaney.
He re enlisted on 1 Oct 1914, promoted to Quarter Master Sergeant and posted to the 5th Battalion.
I was wondering if this was taken in 1914 after he had re enlisted or later in the war?
