I am trying to track down the service records of three of my family members. They were all in the West Yorkshire regiment but I can't seem to find anything. I have MIC for two of them with Reg numbers but the other I am not sure on. What I want to know is has anyone with relatives in the West yorkshires found any service records? I was thinking that they were all kept in the same section of the building that was bombed and burned down during the second world war. If no one with releatives in the West yorkshires has found records then I will take this as what happened and give up my search. Anyone able to help me?

Pav, there's lots of West Yorkshire Regiment records surviving, it's just the luck of the draw if the ones you want are still there - who you looking for?

Ah, you got me!!

Jack's on Harrogate war memorial and there's a bit on him in the local paper. I'll transcribe it for you on Monday as I'm booked in for a session then.

Here he is on the Loos Memorial (my cousin is also there on another panel):
