Here is another view of that German snow vehicle

I believe it was a one off. In WW2 the Soviets used prop driven ski based light fighting vehicles. These were used to keep communications open with Leningrad, across a frozen lake during the siege

can you please tell me what is the idea behing the RAF carrying a folding cycles on their planes.




If the aircraft had to make a forced landing one crew member could pedal off to find a 'phone.

These would give about 10 minutes advanced warning, enough time to get the General and his cocktail cabinet into the cellar or ring the AA batteries and possibly the nearest air field.

Based on the radiator I think it's a much modified Roll Royce - nothing but the best for Lenin!

Another weird and wonderful - an Italian torpedo boat with tracks to allow it to clamber over booms, sand bars etc to get at its prey.

Yes they had a light aircraft engine and a prop, 8mm armour. No brakes!
