Simon - purely pedantic, but he's not "Sir" anything, I suspect; he's actually a Viscount.

How odd. Typo from the CWGC, or can a Viscount be a Knight of some sort, too? Strange. I've looked in Gliddon's book on the Aristocracy, and nothing apparent there.

Peers can be knights too, even princes, William is a Knight of the Garter, but the title Sir is not used when Lord is. Possibly the title is entered from a picklist and someone clicked on the wrong one, I think it should be Lord in this case (though he would be Lord Hawarden rather than Lord Robert Maude of course).
