Yes it was indeed ... a man after my own heart.

I brought a WW2 service book off ebay and it arrived today and will be off in the post to Glyn tomorrow.

Glyn's efforts are admirable ... 966 medals and counting.

Bright Blessings

Hi Sandra,

I've been in contact with the family. Indeed, the same member who went to Fromelles last year.

Aussie soldiers still looking after their own almost 100 years on speaks volumes for our Army's culture despite what the media says.

Well done Tim.

Watching the look on soldiers faces during the burials of the Fromelles Lads, and the dedication of Mike, James and Jason certainly speaks for that Glyn.

Guys,
FYI the plaque was returned to the Irvin family on Thursday at the Chief of Army's History Conference at the Canberra Convention Centre.

It was introduced by Glyn and presented by MAJGEN John Caligari. It was covered by the Canberra Times yesterday (unfortunately not online).

Glyn's organisation Lost Medals Australia has not returned over 1000 lost medals to veterans and their families.

The Irvin family also very kindly donated the equivalent purchase price of the plaque to Legacy.
