This site has transcribed a section of the Salford, Lancashire absent voters register. I am told they will be transcribing a lot more and for free as time goes by.

Manchester's Hulme section of the 1918 Absent voters register is now on line.

It was given to the Manchester regiment ages go, you think they would have shared it with you all?

Other section i know are been transcribed right now for anyone to download.
The next ones that are completed i will post directly on here, so everyone can see them for free.

Unfortunately the Leeds AVL has now been removed from the Leeds City Council website after it was modernised/reorganised. It's still available to look at in the reference/local history section at the main Leeds Central Library.

The 1918 Absent voters Register for the Gorton section of Manchester is now available to download for free.
