There has been a slight change of policy over the new UK Book of Remembrance and the Brookwood (United Kingdom 1914-1918) Memorial as follows....
In future, all new names will be allocated thus:
1) New names with a grave known but not yet inspected etc at the time of acceptance will go in the United Kingdom Book of Remembrance.
2) New names with the grave still being sought at the time of acceptance will go on the Brookwood (United Kingdom 1914-1918) Memorial until a grave is found and confirmed.
This does not apply to names already inscribed on the Memorial as they will stay allocated there even if a grave is known and being investigated. They will move to the grave site once the site is confirmed.
