Historypin project, great promise with some large museums/archives partnering with them, and the possibility of crowdsourcing locations and current photographs.
Wendy, the composites are done in Photoshop. You make the top layer (historical photo) opaque, and size/rotate it into place. It helps to take a 'now' photo in the right spot though. My wife has a great eye for that - better than 20/20 vision. Has warned me never to run if she's holding a gun

. That West Mudros peninsula lends itself to these photos as the mountains in the background of the 1915/1916 photos haven't changed and are clearly visible.
I am looking for photos of No. 2 Australian Stationary Hospital when it moved to Mudros West, and of the Canadian & British hospitals there so as to locate those hospitals within the peninsula as well.
