Recent research has shown that Corporal Fuller is buried here. The Commission is in the process of producing a special memorial headstone to commemorate him as it is not possible to mark his actual grave.

Taken from the Cenus of Ireland 1901 and 1911, Ambrose name is spelt Ambros and Amby on the census.

 

Maxwell, Ambrose: Victoria Street, Lurgan, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland.  Rank: Private, No: 14434, 9th Royal Irish Fusiliers.  Ambrose died on 3rd July 1918, aged 20; Ambrose Maxwell is buried in Lurgan Qualker Burial Ground, Co Armagh.  Ambrose was the son of James and Hannah Maxwell, the brother of Hannah, Sarah, Margaret, Elizabeth, Allen, James and Minnie.  His brother Allen Maxwell also served during the war.
