Hello Kendo,

66 Inf Div:
197 Bde Diamond green/red/yellow/black
198 Bde Square green/red/yellow/black
199 Bde Disc green/red/yellow/2nd/8th?

It is fair to assume that 2nd/8th had a black disc going by the make up of the other Bdes! However, if that was the case, then the
2nd/5th Manchester Regt would have had the green disc at that time instead of the black disc!

Perhaps someone out on the Forum with more knowledge on the 66th Inf Div, or the Manchester Regt can help you further!

My source gives the following information:

2 West York
Arc Maroon/Buff/Maroon 3"x1" Felt
21 West York
Diamond Red with letter P Orange Felt on felt

23 TMB
Arc Green with Grenade silhouette Black Felt on felt
24 TMB
Disc White with Grenade silhouette Blue Embroidered on felt
25 TMB

94 TMB

23 MG Coy

24 MG Coy
Disc White with Crossed M/guns and Crown Red Embroidered on felt
25 MG Coy
Square Yellow with Crossed M/guns and Crown Red Embroidered on felt
68 MG Coy
Square Dark Green 1" Felt
69 MG Coy
Square Green 1" Felt
70 MG Coy
Square Red 1" Felt

Hi Arthur
Thank you once again for info - have done more in the last two weeks than have done in a long time.

Quite surprised that the pamphlet did not have the follwing TMB's. I have them listed as following:-

38 Div
113 TMB - triangle
114 TMB - circle
115 TMB - square

66 Div
197 TMB - diamond
198 TMB - square
199 TMB - circle

Can you just confirm colours of arc for 2 Scottish Rifles - I have them down as blue/black/green. Is this correct ?

Best regards

KENDO

Hi Arthur

I would like to thank you so much for all the assistance you have given me over the past weeks, your help has been invaluable in helping me construct the battle schemes of British divisions of the war. There is still much to be done especially with those divisions serving outside the Western Front theatre but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with the help you have provided me. Once again many thanks

With very best regards

KENDO
