Dr. John Godrich, in editing and publishing his father's war diary [see http://1914-1918.inv...owtopic=177445] has added some appendices.
No.5 is a piece of verse (?) “for private circulation only” by Oscar Teichmann, who is probably better known for his 'Diary of a Yeomanry M.O.'
The piece runs to three full pages and tells of the wartime experiences of the QOWH. The lines covering the events of the summer of 1917 are quite amusing;

EHHA has just taken over, and the new Chief is spotted in a staff car accompanied by only one fellow passenger

"One Yeoman said to another, 'And who's that bloke with him?'
'That's Lincoln Bennett's agent, with bowlers broad of brim!'

And the refrain of the Yeomen as they on their horses sat,
Was that disrespectful ditty of the modest bowler hat.

"There's a little black bowler for Tommy,
And a little grey bowler for John;
The one that is higher,
We're keeping for F-er
The other old T-lor's got on
There's a permanent bowler for Peter, and a temporary one for D-bell;
One made in a hurry
For Arch---ald Murr—y,
And one for Belinda as well”

Sir Charles Dobell & Sir Archibald Murray are the easy ones to spot
Can anyone add full names for the others?
