Hi,
I am looking for a picture of my great uncle's head stone.

He is burried in bay 8 and 9.

Hi Buckie33,

I'm visiting 10th April I wil try and get a photograph for you, if you don't manage to get one before hand.
Don't wish to state the obvious but he is not buried, he is Commemorated on the Bay as is my relation Ernest.
I'll PM you on my return.

Just realised your post, did you say he wasnt burried there?

And how any posts do you have to have to be able to PM?

That is correct, he is not buried there, he is commemorated at the Arras memorial. He is one of the many thousands that have no known grave. Here are a couple of photographs I took.  Lobban.jpg   154.72K   1 downloads

So is he burried in an unknown grave in Arras or was his body never found and he is burried somewhere in France such as under a present day farm? Thank you for the pictures.
