Good morning everyone,
Is anyone near to Greenwich and could possibly take a photo for me? I'm after one of 58663 Sgt.C.Adams, died 11/10/17, Liverpool Regiment.

Any help appreciated.

Regards,
Bill

Bill,

It looks like he is on the Screen Wall, rather than a marked grave.

CWGC entry

I don't know Greenwich Cemetery, but it is one of the next on my list to visit. If no-one else has come up with it in the meantime, I'll do it for you.

Phil

Bill,

I have just looked through my photos of Greenwich Cemetery, and fortunately I have a picture of the relevant panel. It's not a close up, but the names are clearly legible. If you PM me your email address I will happily forward it on to you.

Phil - Hope that I'm not stepping on any toes?

Regards,

Kev Loughnane

Kev,

It would have helped if you had posted a bit earlier. I went over there this morning for Bill's and one for myself.

I don't know if mine will be any better. The sun was bright and low. I found the actual grave position, but it has been re-used.

PM me with your email address as well Bill and you'll have all bases covered.

Phil

Edit: I think I may have mis-calculated the grave position as, according to the info on the Screen Wall, he is buried within the CWGC enclosure.

Kev,

It certainly wasn't a wasted trip, although a lot of the cemetery has been cleared.

I will be going back, layout drawing and camera in hand!

Phil

Bill,

No problem.

I was back there today and the grave is definitely within the enclosure.
