List is now closed ~ I have the maximum number of files that I can order in one day.

Thank you to all those who have ordered more New Zealand soldiers military files.

Hello Everyone

This is an URGENT notice. I will be driving back down to Wellington to Archives New Zealand in 12 hours time. Do you have a New Zealand war file request that you would like digitised?

I'm going to be in Wellington at the New Zealand Archives tomorrow Tuesday 24th April 2012. If you have a war service file you would like digitised please add it NOW!

I can do fifteen file requests for forum members, over the counter requests are free so this wont cost you anything [normally $25 NZD each if ordered online]

Please check that your soldiers file is available by checking the Archives New Zealand website, use the 'simple search' option
http://www.archway.archives.govt.nz/

Post your soldiers full name and service number here and I will order for you.

Wendy

Thanks Moriaty and Matthew ~ I have added you chaps to the list. Matthew I have added John Leggott also :) :) Regards Wendy

That's only six files so far, I can get another nine soldiers files digitised today, please add any other requests NOW!

I will take my laptop with me and leave handing in files until 3pm this afternoon so it gives everyone more time to add their request/s. I will advise the forum when I have handed in the files so at that point the list/offer with be closed. That only gives everyone seven hours from now to get their requests in.....

Ok...... all War files were able to be ordered up, with the exception of two files that are already online : They are as follows.

Pylon1357 you chap Arthur Royden Campbell 25/1695 is available on this link: http://www.archway.a...o?code=21891599 Click on the tab 'Digitised record' and then proceed to download the 12.5Mb PDF file.

Mzungu ~ Simon, your chap Ernest Charles Dovey 19204 is available on this link: http://www.archway.a...o?code=20998270 Click on the tab 'Digitised record' and then proceed to download the 15.1Mb PDF file.

All files ordered today are expected to be online the middle of next week, the archives are out doing themselves again and getting the files out in record time, well done Archives New Zealand.

If you are going to do further research on your Kiwi soldiers I recommend that you have a look and nzef's thread, there are many wonderful links and good advice to be found here. http://1914-1918.inv...1

Well I think that's everything done and dusted, get in touch with me if there are any problems with the files and I can sort out this end.

Good researching to you all :) :P

odd that my first reply is not here. i guess its one of the issues when using your mobile phone to post on a forum.

wendy again thank you very much for the file on campbell. I find it interesting that it had already been digitized as of last month it was not and I never got around to requesting it be done.

so I can a very big thank you for offering this to the members here

You are all very welcome, I'm very happy to help where I can.

Pylon1357 I can see your other post ok. Archives Nz are busy digitising all war files and battalion diaries for the Great War 100th anniversary so more than likely they are already up to and past the letter 'C' by now.

Good Luck with your research.
