Sorry can't make it this month, again. Looking further ahead, though, I will be in London on June 28th. Would anyone object to a Thursday get-together for a change?

[Alert readers will note that I have edited this post since 14.39 to show a different date].

Sorry all - this is getting to be a habit. I never expected to be this busy when not actually working. If it softens the blow, I also had to cancel lunch with a former work mate. I will redouble availability for any June event, however. And I was looking forwards to buying drinks to celebrate the passing on of some good news. Hope it went well. No offence to Jane, but I will be in town anyway at a retirement party on 27th June, if held then (but I would be coming on from that) - equally 28th works.

I'm off to France on the 29th June & Mrs Ice Tiger probably wouldn't welcome me also going MIA the night before so the 29th is out for me.

As above, I'll be around on the 28th but not on the 27th.

Hello All,

It looks like I may have to miss my orange juice ration this month. After a very lean six months I've finally managed to scratch up a bit of work, but have been posted to the Surrey/Kent borders.

I hope the chef turns up this time, but it may be prudent to bring some sandwiches just in case.

Sorry that Phil and Jane can't do Wednesday, but I should be able to make it.  I hope the 'chef' turns up too, 'cos I'm definitely not going to The Horse again!

I suspect that we may want to skip the July meet on account of avoiding the Olympics, so how's about organising a trip to Pompey to visit Jane?

Sorry, chaps, but I'm going to have to cry off this evening.  I've torn a muscle at the base of my back, on the same side as my graunchy hip, and I'm afraid I'm not up to the trek into town and back.  Mr Edwards also sends his apologies.  Broomers, by the way, is on holiday this week.

Gah - always the bridesmaid...  Was down but returned on 28 May.  Am down again Friday night (maybe putting in a late appearance tomorrow, but now it's tonight).  Saw the 18th YAY, but no - it's the 25th (and I return North on the 24th).

Sigh.  One day...

Thanks, Andy.  Got the Tramadol, but fortunately I'm not keen on whisky.  I hope you and Mark and Glen have a good evening and that some other Pals, perhaps Phil (Staffsyeoman) and David (ZeppRaider) show up too.
