I have a group photograph showing seventeen Australian soldiers holding a large banner bearing the words "THE HAMBONE WARRIORS - Farewell

Australia. En-route for Berlin."
The photo was taken at Amesbury, Salisbury Plain, England, c.1915.

Can anyone please tell me anything more about this unit and did they have a more formal, regimental title?
