Hi Folks,

Could some one point me in the direction what this regiment may be. I've been told he was a KSLI soldier, certainly not a KSLI badge.

I'd agree that Hampshire Regiment looks the most promising.

Can anyone identify this cap badge, please?

My great uncle was said to have joined the Leinster Regiment, 4th Batt., but it's not clear that the cap badge is from the Leinsters

That rather brutal retouching could almost make a case for it being the Victorian crown version of the badge of Staffordshire Yeomanry (which, despite the efforts of some badge sellers to convince you otherwise) was still worn in the Regiment until WW2. But on balance I can certainly see the elements of a Leinsters badge which has been drawn over.
