A./Lt.-Col. Charles Strangway(s) Linton (Worcs.)

I have the London Gazette pages for his D.S.O. (26.6.16) and bar to D.S.O. (26.11.17) but can't find the LG page for his citation  (bar to D.S.O.). Any help would be most appreciated.

Regards

I'm hopeless at searching the London Gazette but I did find this:
Lt Col C.S. Linton commanded 4th Battalion at the Battle of Poelcappelle, Ypres, on 09 October 1917 where he was awarded a bar to his existing DSO.

Hi Sandie,

Thank you for the link and info. Still had no luck with the citation after another search on LG (does it exist I wonder?).

Peter

The citation for the Bar to the DSO, London Gazette #30614, 6th April 1918, Page 4196.  Link is here...http://www.london-ga...upplements/4196

Maj. (A./Lt.-Col.) Charles Strangway Linton, D.S.O., M.C., Worc. R.
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. In the initial arrangements for an attack, which resulted in the capture of the first two objectives, as well as during the action and the consolidation after, he displayed marked ability and leadership as well as fearlessness in exposing himself when necessary.
