Major Holt Waring C Squadron North Irish Horse served as the Lieutenant Colonel in the 13th Royal Irish Rifles. He died of wounds on 15 April 1918, aged 41. whilst Lieutenant Colonel of the 12th Royal Irish Rifles. He is buried at Wulvergehm-Lindenhoek Road Military Cemetery.  Why is he referred to as Major  in CWGC when he held the rank of Lt Colonel?
