There is a German Cemetery at Achiet-le-Petit next to the Communal Cemetery.
Originally there was also a British Cemetery 'next' to the current German cemetery

Can anyone aid me in the actual location of this British Cemetery?

Some 39 New Zealanders were originally buried here and their military files are not very clear as to the location, some say 57c G 14. 7. 1. which puts them in the middle or near too the middle of the current German cemetery. others states simply 'Achiet-le-Petit communal Cemetery (German) Extension' others 'next to German cemetery' and others confusingly state "57 c 14 6 0" which completely stumps my map reading ability -- unless that is 57 c 14 b 0? then it puts the location in the field located next to both the German and current communal... i guess it could be that they were spread around a bit - but i assume that they could more likely have be concentrated together

Can anyone help with a WHITE CROSS TOURING map and where the British cemetery is located?

Cheers Roger

Roger

Attached is the White Cross map showing Cem 1795 which is called Achiet-le-Petit CCE in the index. Caution, White cross location are not always accurate.
