This is St Mary's at Widford and I will be able to help.
From the website:

St. Marys, is open every Friday afternoon between 1 and 4pm throughout the summer.  Please do feel free to drop in.  Members of the congregation will be there so if you have any questions about the building and grave yard, they will be happy to either answer your questions, or if they don't know the answers, they will find out for you and let you know.

If I don't make it today (heavy rain is predicted - again :w00t:) I will go next week.

Regards
CGM

Hello Mike,

I was very lucky as the afternoon turned out to be beautiful. It was quite warm with bright sunshine and I was able to take the photos so if you could PM me an email address I will send high res. copies.

I was able to meet some members of the congregation of the church and was made very welcome. There are six casualties buried in their churchyard, five from WW1 and one from WW2, and the graves are obviously important to them.

Your interest in the grave was appreciated. There is obvious sympathy for those who are buried in their churchyard, far from home or relatives, and whose graves, perhaps, have never been visited.

All are remembered on Remembrance Sunday. The RBL poppy crosses from last November are still on the graves although I put a new one on Gough's grave on your behalf. He is buried next to an Australian soldier.

If no one else volunteers I may be able to do the Wiltshire ones for you, although I live in North Wilts and the ones that you want are South Wilts.

Mike, weather permitting, I will be going to Salisbury tomorrow to get a lift to Plymouth. It all depends whether the cricket match I am supposed to be scoring goes ahead! I should be able to detour to London Road on my way to Laverstock where I will pick up the minibus. Time allowing I will see how I am fixed for the other 2.
