Do you know, I never even noticed that when I was having a cold beer in that square a few years back!  And what a beautiful place it is too!

Hi Roger,

The actual roll is between the bars through a church like door opposite the memorial. Fascinating as it has many pictures, WW1, WW2 and civvy, of the men on the rolls.

Thanks for replying,

Graeme

Graeme

I suppose this is a "I have been there as well" reply, but it is a lovely little chapel and quite easily missed. I saw the doorway through a glass of vino from the restaurant directly opposite.. For those who visit the area it is in Montecatini Alto, as opposed to the "new" town at the foot of the hill, Montecatini Terme which has a stunning spa building and well with visiting.  You get to Montacetini Alto via the funicular railway on the edge of town. I have given this information to forum members free of charge you understand.

Sorry about that Graeme, I got carried away.
