Kevin,
As it happens I hope to be over on the Somme next week.  Sailly-Saillisel wouldn't be much of a detour on the way back towards Bapaume from a planned outing to Peronne, so I'll try to get there and do as you ask.

Once you make five posts on this Forum you can activate the Personal Messaging (PM) system which will enable you to send me a private note of an email address to which any photos can be sent.  See if you can make three more posts over the next week or so!

Clive

Kevin,
I'm so sorry I have to report that I didn't get to Sailly-Saillisel after all.  The outing that day fell well behind schedule and had to be cut short, so I didn't get to Peronne or the road north from it, and a few sites had to be abandoned as we headed back to our accommodation.  I had even printed out a map of the cemetery with the grave of your relative and one of my Anglesey lads' graves marked ready to visit.

If its any consolation a photo of the grave itself and a general view of the cemetery can be obtained free via this link:   http://www.britishwargraves.co.uk/

Sincere apologies once again,
Clive
