Jim
You may already have this battalion history; my apologies if this is so.

As the diary has not been digitized it may not be in many peoples possession. However I'm sure someone will turn up shortly.
Kind regards
Colin

Many thanks Colin, yes I do have it thank you, and never realised WD was not digitalised so thank you again.

Was just trying to squeeze some more information if I could (as you do) and thought WD may offer.

Many thanks for your reply, appreciate your time

Jim

Hi Jim,

I do not have the WD, but I do have the Ox and Bucks L I Chronicle, which describes the period in a fair amount of detail.  There is also a letter from Captain W.H Moberly,D.S.O., written whilst he was in hospital in London, dated 8th April, which is quite interesting and informative.

Is there anyone in particular whom you are researching?

If you would like copies, please PM me your email address and I will send these on to you tomorrow.

Robert

Robert - you say in a post below "There is also a letter from Captain W.H Moberly,D.S.O., written whilst he was in hospital in London, dated 8th April, which is quite interesting and informative".    Would it be possible to have sight of that letter?    He is my great uncle and his daughter in law and granddaughter are heading across to northern Frnace and Belgium shortly to visit some of the places he served in. My email is andrewmoberly@waitrose.com. Thank you!

I have a copy, Jim. Not a particularly great one, but legible if you squint. PM me with your email address and I'll send it along.
