Corporal Thomas, credited with firing the first rifle shots of the war.
Recently finished reading an article that states that he was just fourteen years old.
Can anybody confirm this??

Not when he was out in 1914, I suspect. Maybe when he first enlisted? He came from/ended up in Brighton - his family is still there to my knowledge.
