It's been a long time since I added new medals --

22804 Sapper John ELLIS, RE

26447 Pioneer Charles Edward ROPER, RE

I was really happy to pick up the BWM for 2677 Sapper Herbert Doughty, an Old Contemptable who served with the 11th Field Coy., RE. I already have his Victory Medal, so it was a great feeling to reunite them. Now all I need to do is find his 1914 Star with the Clasp and Roses ...

Hi Tom,

I do hope this one qualifies for your list; from the last Spink auction, and after being absent from our family for 80-odd years, my gg uncle's QSA:

Horace George PARNELL, RFA (QSA; his 1915 Star Trio and Death Plaque, to my knowledge, are with other members of the family)

All the best

Steve

I have the following death plaques

Arthur William Ringer
Roland Edward Ringer from Norfolk
John Collen
Arthur James Collen  from Exning Suffolk
Herbert Claud Hood
Frank Godrey Hood from Gt. Yarmouth
George Richard Wills
John Wills
Joseph William Shaw.

What a good idea to post these details. I would be interested to hear from proven family.

John and Arthur Collen were lads from Exning, near Newmarket.. I am doing that war memorial at present and am a friend of one of their relatives who still lives in Exning. Photos or details would be very much appreciated
