Sorry I can help you. But you did ask for information here is my Grandfathers discharge papers and a copy of his MIC is attached. What I do know is that is was listed as Mia in the retreat from Mons 1914. I have a researcher looking into the national archives in Kew and I will be requesting information from the red cross. I'll let you know what I get.
I do know that he enlisted in the free state army but have no further information on that yet.
