Hill 60 it is. The 1st Australian Tunnelers Memorial. It looks a bit different today.

White Pudding supper winging its way to Dunfermline as we speak.

It's a favourite stop on my school trips. The kids love being filmed on the pillbox. I'll be there May and September. It's a hard life but someone has got to do it :innocent: I will even be able to entertain them with the Below Hill 60 DVD on the dreaded bus journey Scotland to Dover overnight.

Hi Gaz, Gaz Here. I have him in my data base. He was the son of the late Andrew and Christina Robertson Crighton and husband to Jemima Irvine(formally Crighton) and it would appear that David Crighton was working as a butcher in the Canadian Army Hospital in Ramsgate,England when 15 Gotha bombers raided the area.Crighton was working in the kitchen of the hospital when he was killed.Although Crighton was in England,he is still listed as "killed in action. I dont know how he managed to become a butcher as his attestation papers have him listed as a pipe inspector.
all the best the other Gaz.

P.S. Have you contacted the library yet?.

Spot on GAZ, dunno about the Black Puddin supper though, White puddin is the usual award. I'll refer this to the rules committee and see if we can make an exception.

Jim

I suggest we have a meeting of the rules committee as this is obviously a important matter (Chips are getting cold). Last time out it was suggested we go for a Friday night instead of Saturday. How about the last Friday in March, ie 25/03/11.

THAT DATE SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. I THINK THIS VERY IMPORTANT TOPIC SHOULD BE DISCUSSED BY THE COMMITTEE. I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE EQUALITY IN PUDDINS.

ALL THE BEST, GAZ.

Jildi Jildi guys, as Gary says we need to discuss this sooner rather than later. Who can make the 25th march and who can't?

The 25thof March, you say. I'm sure I can make that. Will keep watching for time and location.

Black? White? Deep fried haggis with brown sauce, surely. Food of the gods!

Should the participants in this thread be made to pass a Scottish purity test, like on that link?  I'm only asking and am mainly German-French-Irish in origin myself.

Hi Neil

Part of my hesitation in replying to the suggestion of the 25th is because there is  a WFA meeting in Dundee on the 26th and life is quite busy at the moment.

Cheers, Jim
