I was wondering if anyone has any pics of the Memorial to the 316th AEF Infantry. From what I have been told it is near the Meuse River north of Verdun overlooking the town of Sivry. I have a picture of one side of it but am curious to see the entire monument. I have not been able to find any pics online or any reference to it, even on the American Battle Monuments website.

Thanks in advance,

Cherie

Hi Cherie,

The monument is called the Borne du Cornouiller and it stands on a hilltop that the Americans called Cornwilly Hill. I've got photos it somewhere but can't lay my hands on them at the moment. I'll see if I can find them later in the day.

Cherie - this may well be the picture you already have, but in case not, there is one on this page
