Just to let you all know that BBC Inside Out West have made a follow up programme to the Andrew Motion/Harry Patch on shown earlier this week. It is called ‘Private Harry Patch’ and will be broadcast on BBC in the West on Wednesday 12th November at 7.30pm. I am told that Sky users can get this BBC regional area on Channel 986.
However, following the success of the Andrew Motion film BBC4 have decided to broadcast this new programme on Monday 24th November (time to be confirmed). So, for all those without Sky, this will be your chance to watch it.
The programme follows Harry over the last few months and will include much footage of his pilgrimage back to Ypres and the unveiling of the memorial to the 7th DCLI on the banks of the Steenbeek back in September.
Am sure details will follow on the website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/west/ (although these have not yet been updated as I type this). I guess it will also be available on BBC iplayer for a week.
All best,
Jeremy
