To All

Just like to (Blow my Own Trumpet) say that i have given my first ever presentation which was a resounding success. I was invited by the local WI group which included any members of the public wishing to attend. A head count showed 40 attenndees ranging in age from 40 yrs to 80 years old (male and female). I asked them to sign a book giving comments and got some excellent reviews. A couple of them had been to the battlefield but that was all. Everyone gained from this insight into the Salient and found my(Updated) DVD to be very moving.
The organiser could see the passion in my manner of giving the presentation. The Highest praise came from my good lady who said she was Extremely proud to see me get up and talk away to a complete group of strangers with no notes required. The upshot is that I got a pass out for a return visit next year YIPPEE biggrin.gif

Welcome to the club, its great fun, and I have got just us much out of giving talks, as I hope those in the audience may have taken from me.

Thanks for those comments Scotty and Gareth, they are appreciated. Like yourself Gareth I got a tremendous amount of satisfaction giving the presentation.

Just been informed that we managed to raise £74:00 for the poppy appeal.

Had a request to do a couple more presentations sometime in the future, one of them may be at our local Barracks

Cheers

Paul
