Is there no end to my Great War nerddom? Probably not.

My local craft store had some unpainted wooden nutcrackers for sale, so I decided to make a Great War British soldier. I removed the white beard and cap and replaced it with as close to a Brodie helmet as I could get -- namely a dollhouse wooden bowl and a wooden necklace charm!

Here he is all painted up as a private in the 24th Division and ready to hold the trenches under my Christmas tree. I think I painted his years served stripes and belt buckle wrong though. ohmy.gif

That's a cracker Matt! Now you just need to paint some pickelhaubes on walnuts for him to crack. laugh.gif
