Using Flashearth which appears to be very good is there any way to zero in on just WWI sites via GPS settings/i.e. Lat and Long? For example when I type in "Vimy Ridge" including France and Canada afterwards I cannot get anything! For Amiens, France the city is fairly large. I need to locate if it still exists the Amiens Asylum of 1918 and in general the major battlefield sites. I do NOT have access to British trench maps or Ordnance Survey maps / information. Any help on the above?
Has anyone compiled a list / bibliography of such positions?
Thanks,
John

Thanks Chris. I did remember this thread as being fairly good BUT for those of us nowhere near, nor going to visit these places but only have access to readily available sat photos via the web (like me) it still would be great to have an online GPS gazetteer and not just of cemeteries but major features such as fortifications, preserved trench sections, monuments, airfields, hospital buildings, barracks,....!
I did find a GREAT website that includes a huge amount of information, photos and GPS coordinates of military cemeteries etc... INTERNATIONALLY. It is superbly organized and very user friendly. It is not the Belgian website mentioned at the start of the thread you referred me to since this website is truly international with GREAT coverage. Does anyone know the website that I am talking about? It is probably AMERICAN originating and operated since it does contain a great amount of stuff on American Civil War burial stuff. It is incredibly impressive and accessible to a great many more people who simply need access to the INTERNET rather than special equipment(GPS) and the like.
I hope someone can tell us what the above URL for the site is!
