I would be up for a trip down the A3 from Wimbledon. We had a very good London meet last Thursday, so one to meet the Surrey pals would be very pleasant. I can probably persuade Siege Gunner to come along - he rarely refuses the opportunity for a pint and a bite!

Much as I prefer a country pub with an open fire & decent ale, one within walking distance of a main line train station would probably be a good idea.

How about Guildford? Relatively central & I'm sure you won't object Phil

Guildford would be so close, but still travel by car, would be happy to chauffeur back and from the station.

Very decent of you, old chap. I'll be at Southampton Airport Parkway at about 1840 hours.

And I'll be outside Guildford station.....

Seriously, Guildford would work for me, as I can travel down by train from Waterloo, and then take a view on whether I go home or back to London. (If it's anything like last week's London meet-up, I know which one my money's on).

Try and avoid the 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.

It looks like Guildford then chaps anyone want to suggest a time and date?

If any delegates are old enough to remember or care, that would be the 50th anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly... Rave on, chaps.

I guess all Surrey pals are aware of Surrey WFA branch at Cobham - meets next Wed (21st), speaker Ian Passingam. But
if not give it a try, you don't have to be a wFA member. If I'm teaching grannie add it to my growing list of 'foolish boy' behaviour of recent days! If anyone wants more details send a response, if not I will go back to my closet

What are your thoughts on going back to the Wednesday date?

So far Roy & I for Wednesday 28th & no one for the alternative date on the Tuesday.

As you are well aware Roy (sorry 1914StarwithAug~Nov Bar&Roses), no it isnt (you will recall that we have had a similar conversation before !).

Because ................. it would only attract replies from HarryTrenchknife, MickeyMeninGate, SlabDabSluvblob, and their mate Bandages&plastersSallyBlob-Wob !
