Hi
Wonder if any pal has access to a German map of the Hohenzollern redoubt dating from October 1915 on which i could confirm the location of some German trench names. I am looking for references to the following trenches: Popp, Kohlmuller, Solms and Point 7 as well as references D7 and D8

Cheers

Chris, There was also a Popp Graben, it was the small trench cutting across the tip of the redoubt where it faced the British lines. It was named after a German officer who was involved in an attack against it, I believe during the counterattack by the 16th and 17th Bavarian Reserve Regiments. If you go to this site and load the Loos project there is a map toward the end of the report. It shows the Popp Graben in front of the Kohlmüller Graben.

Hi Ralph
Happy New Year to you and your family. Thank you very much for the link. I had read the report some time ago if i remember rightly but must have missed the map at the end.

Cheers
