Private 28229 Thomas Prosser,8th Cheshires(formerly 36041 RAMC) died 22.6.1917 and is commemorated on the Kirkee Memorial.
Does anyone have access to records which would show (a) where he died, and (cool.gif from what ?

CWGC are likely to know where he's buried. It'll be somewhere where maintenance of the grave couldnt be guaranteed in perpetuity.

He'll have been in hospital in India having been evacuated form Mesopotamia and my guess would be illness rather than wounds. There's a chance, therefore, that his death certificate contains more details than the usual "died of wounds". The General Register Office for the overseas certificate is I.27.235

The only other possibility would be his service papers if they have survived.
