Another rather vague one:
Name: BILLERS, WILLIAM
Initials: W
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Lance Serjeant
Regiment/Service: Royal Warwickshire Regiment
Unit Text: 2nd/6th Bn.
Date of Death: 19/07/1916
Service No: 240420
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Panel 22 to 25.
Memorial: LOOS MEMORIAL
SDGW has his place of birth as Bermondsey. The nearest candidate that I can find was born in 1897 and registered in Southwark. This one appears on the 1901 census but in the Lewisham Fever Hospital with no family details. The age of 19 might be young for a Lance Sergeant.
Any help appreciated.

Alan
Great information on his service and it certainly clarifies the Lance sergeant point. Do you have any information on the names of his family?
I am really after the genealogical basics for the gedcom file.
Thanks
