There is no additional CWGC information. The closest I have come to resolving this one is a birth record of a William John Bignell b. 1892 Sussex.

I think he Enlisted at Horsham, Sussex and was a Resident of Bolton (Ancestry Mix the two up)

So wondered if this may be him born Dec Qtr 1893 Bolton RD

Son of Francis William Bignell and Elizabeth Bignell (nee Thomas). Francis was the Govenor of Edens Orphanage in Bolton.

Francis Felix was 3122 L/Cpl & SQMS in Duke of Lancs Own Yeomanry, 12/5/17 commissioned 2/Lt in RFA. His MIC gives an address in 1922 at 379 Church Rd, Smethills, Bolton.
This family is in the "Ridgway/Armstrong Family Tree" of Ancestry member barbaraedavies, but no mention of William Henry!

Bless my soul, I should have checked here before splurging a quid on the 1911 census transcript but Mel hadn't updated the tree biggrin.gif

Can you pm the deatils of any daughters Helen May Hill may have had as these could be candidates for m DNA testing.
