This is another of our difficult ones:

Name: Albert Cook
Birth Place: Acton, Middx.
Residence: Buckingham
Death Date: 19 Jul 1916
Rank: L/Corporal
Regiment: Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry
Battalion: 2/1st Bucks Battalion.
Number: 265265
Type of Casualty: Killed in action

June's highly informative Buckinghamshire Remebers site : http://fp.underw.f9.co.uk/bucksrems/index.htm confirms that Albert had a strong connection with Buckingham given that he is commemorated on the memorial there.

We have identified six Cooks born in Acton (Brentford District):

Births Sep 1878 COOK Albert Edward T Brentford 3a 89 Births, Mar 1880 COOK Albert George Brentford 3a 131, Births Sep 1893 Cook Albert James Brentford 3a 145, Births Mar 1897 Cook Albert Brentford 3a 137 Births Mar and 1898 COOK Albert James Brentford 3a 68.

The Sep 1893 Cook has a mother from Bucks - perhaps, may be? (the1911 census does not provide any leads)

Any help, as usual, would be much appreciated.
